The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is a federal agency within the Department of Defense that is responsible for providing personnel security, vetting, and background investigations for employees, contractors, and applicants within the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. DCSA also conducts counterintelligence operations to identify and mitigate threats to national security.
